Nurse Tech/Patient Care Tech Program Overview
This program is designed for students interested in becoming a nurse, physician assistant, respiratory therapist, dietitian/nutritionist, physical/ occupational therapist, medical assistant or any career involving direct patient care. It introduces students to fundamentals of health care, core skills, health care professional behavior, and various pathways to becoming a trained and educated health care professional.
Students enrolled in this program will have the opportunity to participate in work based learning experiences in both a hospital and long term care facility. In our simulated patient rooms, students will practice skills to become proficient and apply their knowledge.
Eligible students can earn NT/PCT national certification and American Heart BLS (CPR) certification.
