Semester 1: The Design Semester

1st Quarter

  • Design Thinking Process
  • Adobe Illustrator
  • Adobe Photoshop

2nd Quarter

  • Adobe InDesign
  • Typography
  • Design Fundamentals

Semester 2: The Marketing Semester

3rd Quarter 

  • Specialty Shop Creation
  • Specialty Shop Marketing

Group Project Part #1 - Groups of four will divide into two teams. Each team will draw a type of product from a hat and then will produce the following for a drawn product:

  • Develop product line
  • Typography
  • Create logo

Group Project Part #2 - Teams will use the opposite team of their grown as a "Design/Marketing Firm". The opposite team will develop the following from the items of Part #1:

  • Signage, including outdoors
  • Packaging
  • A new product proposal to add to the line
  • Advertising for social, print, and post cards
  • Promotional products like stickers and swag
  • Communications Plan

4th Quarter 

  • Printing Exploration
  • Personal Branding and Self-Promotion
