Criminal Justice program honored by Homeland Security
Kent Career Tech Center's Criminal Justice program was recently honored by Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) with the national Exemplary Partnership award for creating the HSI Grand Rapids Cadet Academy.
The program was designed to enhance students' program experience, mentor a diverse population and foster HSI’s relationship with younger members of the community. Special Agent in Charge Angie Salazar from Detroit HSI visited the Tech Center this week to present the award to past and present Criminal Justice instructors Sean Burns, Ben Hawkins, Kelly Bowers, Colby Wheeler, and Gregg Isenhoff. The award is a testament to the exceptional work and dedicated partnership between KCTC and HSI and highlights our commitment to leading learning.
Congratulations, team!
